May 1st - Rod Run to Kitt Peak National Observatory
Almost 100 street rods made the scenic car cruise about 50 miles southwest ofTucson! Located high above the Sonoran Desert, Kitt Peak has twenty-five optical and two radio telescopes. It was a cloudy day, so visability was somewhat limited, but the drivers received a dash plaque and participants enjoyed a barbeque at the park and many won doorprizes.
