Kartchner Caverns

Kartchner Caverns State Park is located in southeastern Arizona, at the base of the Whetstone Mountains. The seven acres of pristine caverns are hidden beneath one of the small hills which dots the majestic Chihuahuan Desert. This “live” cave is host to a wide variety of unique formations. Calcite formations continue to grow, including stalactites dripping down like icicles and giant stalagmites reaching up from the ground. Club members took the fascinating underground Big Room Tour.
